Don’s Diesel was created to specialize in diesel engine kits for agricultural use. This family-operated business, since 1988, is located in Lawrence, Kansas, and is open Monday through Friday, 8 am till 5:00 pm.
We sell only the finest QUALITY products. We offer MAHLE Clevite, FP Diesel, Federal Mogul, Sealed Power, Interstate-McBee, Reliance Power Parts , Maxiforce & PAI Industries; Fel Pro & Victor Gaskets. Don’s Engine Kits consist of sleeves, orings, pistons, pins, rings, rod bearings, main bearings & IN-FRAME gaskets. If you are removing the engine, FULL gaskets are required. Full gaskets are available if needed.

Our History
A number of years ago, Don Baxter opened up a place called Don’s Speed Shop and sold race car parts. Rod Urish purchased this business in 1976. Then 10 years later, Rod decided to open up Don’s Diesel. At this time, many of the implement dealers closed, leaving a void in businesses that sell agricultural parts. Rod, using his farming background, decided he could fill this niche market. He was also well versed in the engine business, with a history in motors dating all the way back to high school.
Rod operated both business until 1987, when he decided to sell Don’s Speed Shop. He kept Don’s Diesel, however, and moved it to its current location. After fifty years in the business, Rod has been able to retire and go back to his roots of country living. Before doing so, he made sure the family business was left in good hands. In 2013, Willie, Rod’s oldest son, stepped in to take over for his father. Willie has 25 years of experience as a GM Master Mechanic & is more than qualified to help you with anything you may need.
